The numbers of coronavirus infections are keeping on soaring and as more people get tested more positive cases are added on a daily basis. Then there some countries that reporting less cases not necessarily because cases are low but because they do not have the testing kits. So how does one know they may have potentially been infected. Below we detail symptoms as reported by World Health Organisation and other experts in the matter like the US CDC. These symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure (based on the incubation period of MERS-CoV viruses).

• Fever
• Tiredness
• Shortness of breath
•  High temperature - you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
• New continuous dry cough - this means you’ve started coughing repeatedly
• Chills
• Repeated shaking with chills
• Muscle pain
• Headache
• Sore throat
• “New” loss of taste or smell

When to Seek Medical Attention?

If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include*:

• Trouble breathing
• Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
• New confusion or inability to arouse
• Bluish lips or face
